Anderson is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Utah State Fine Arts, National Museum of American Art, and the Springville Museum of Art, Utah. In the latter part of the 1930's he moved to New York where he began a twenty year career as a graphic artist. He studied at the University of Utah, the Los Angeles Art Institute, Art Students League, Academe Julian, and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. He was a painter, illustrator, and a WPA artist who worked in Salt Lake City, New York, and San Francisco. However, his greatest skill was displayed in the drypoint medium, because of an uncanny ability to understand human behavior and depict it on paper.
